Welcome to Freaky Geese's production of 'Dead Centre' written by Dan Le Friec.

"It's been a hell of a year for Freaky Geese so far. We've had enormous highs of creating another film (premiering at the end of the year) alongside our debut feature 'Holier Than Thou' being released on Amazon Prime. Head over to the FG+ tab for links on where to buy or rent the film.
There's also been lows, as we had to pull our production of 'Two Gentlemen of Verona'. Hopefully the first and last time that ever has to happen.
As always, both ends of the spectrum are opportunities to grow and develop.

'Dead Centre' is certainly no exception to this. We knew from the get go that it was time to entrust more individuals the responsibility to produce a Freaky Geese work. It's been a joy to be able to sit in the backseat and allow Ian Taylor - our wonderful director - the opportunity to create this show.
We'd like to say a big thank you to him for his time and effort in bringing 'Dead Centre' to life. A massive thank you to our wonderfully talented cast too, who have continuously strived for playful excellence.

But enough of the waffle; sit back, laugh loudly and cheer passionately as we all get ready to #justplayeh"

A Note from Dan -
"I’ve always been interested in the human reaction to death (laugh a minute right).
It’s an undeniable truth that affects us all. One day sadly we will die. My curiosity focus’ mainly on our experience around death and that naturally leads me to wonder, what happens after? The idea of an afterlife is almost as old as time itself, different faiths and cultures have all sorts of thoughts and beliefs about what will happen when the end draws near. It can be soothing for people to think of their loved ones in an afterlife.
The purpose of this play is to explore in an absurdist version of what might happen mere moments after we draw our final breath. What are those thoughts and feelings? I also want it to be a play about representation, but I hope as you watch our production that will make itself clear. I hope you can enjoy this comedy with a smile on your face and watch a silly play with an important message".

A Note from Ian -

"It's been a real treat and privilege for me to put on my directing hat for the first time in a long while. Working with Dan and Rhys is always fun, and I've enjoyed getting to grips with this great new play and a whole new group of actors.

The cast have responded well to my ideas and we have had fun putting this together. I hope the result is one that is enjoyed by you, the audience".
